Los Pitbulls Alexis & Fido han mostrado que con esfuerzo todo se puede. Ellos han sido parte de discos como La Misión 3 A Otro Nivel y Los Benjamins: La Continuación. En The Pitbulls hicieron su debut oficial como duo.
Bionica: Chicos, ustedes son un duo que través del tiempo se han mantenido con mucho éxito y esfuerzo. Tienen temas con varios artistas como Wisin Y Yandel y en su album Down to Earth tuvieron una colaboración junto a Don Omar & Toby Love. ¿Qué podemos esperar en Perreología?
Alexis & Fido: Bueno nosotros llevamos muchos años en esto, desde que comenzó el genero ya llevábamos tiempo escribiendo y haciendo este estilo de música. Después cuando exploto el boom del reggaeton vimos que esto era una carrera profesional y ahí fue que como duo Alexis Y Fido empezamos. Hemos tenido mucho éxito y discos que han pegao súper fuerte estando en los primeros lugares de los Billboards y hemos sido nominados para los Latin Grammys.
Nuestro disco pasado Down to Earth, fue el disco que nos abrió mucho las puertas, ahí colaboramos con Don Omar y Toby Love quien es de aquí de Nueva York. Toby Love es nuestro hermanito que siempre sale en todos los discos. Perreologia es un disco que hicimos con todo el corazon Alexis Y Fido. Viene mucho perreo, mucha música discoteca que es lo que esta pegá en nuestro barrio–volvimos a la esencia del barrio. Un tema que ahora estamos promocionando es Contestame el Teléfono junto a Flex. Es un tema comercial, no es perreo pero es bailable y tiene ritmos Latinos.
Bionica: Digan nos un poquito sobre el lanzamiento de Perreologia y como llego a ser.
Alexis & Fido: La Perreologia sale el 22 de Marzo y bueno ahí vienen muchas colaboraciones. Tenemos a Tony Dize, Daddy Yankee en Rescate, que fue el tema que sacamos para calentar lo que es Perreologia. Está Cosculluela que ahora mismo esta bien caliente en la calle y tenemos a Eddie Avila, uno de los pioneros en este genero y uno de los mas reales. Eddie Avila no sale en cualquier disco y esta saliendo en el nuestro. También esta Nova & Yory un duo nuevo en Puerto Rico que esta dando mucho de que hablar, creemos que son los mas pegao ahora mismo en Puerto Rico al nivel de lo que es el underground. Franco el Gorila esta, lo que hace un disco bien variado, tiene mucho reggaeton y perreo, 90% del disco es perreo.
Bionica: Digan me una cosa ¿quién escribe las canciones?
Alexis & Fido: Bueno, de escribir las canciones, yo (Fido) soy él que lleva el
concepto y entre Alexis & yo nos dividimos el trabajo. Alexis escribe la parte de él,
yo sigo el concepto y así la vamos llevando.
Bionica: ¿Quién le hace las pistas?
Alexis & Fido: En cuestión de los beats, nosotros mismos vamos escogiendo,
depende del estilo de canción, pues escogemos al que va a producir. En este
disco participó mucho Fino Como el Haze que es él que trabaja con la gente de
Plan B, él chamaco la estuvo montando duro. También trabajamos con
Mambo Kings y Nesty. Trabajaron un montón de gente en este disco.
Bionica: Cuenten me algo sobre el party de album release que viene.
Alexis & Fido: El album release party va ser aquí en NY. Ahora mismo no tengo
todos los detalles pero ya se esta planeando todo lo que viene con el marketing
del disco, pues lo acabamos de entregar. Sale el 22 de Marzo y esa es la fecha en
que salimos a arrancar por ahí a dar promoción y todo.

Alexis & Fido: Hoy estamos vestido así de freestyle. El que nos viste de todo es
Milton Cruz de aquí de NY, él es un súper consultor de moda. El tipo también
trabajó en la carátula de Alexis & Fido, también va estar trabajando en los vídeos.
Pues estamos vistiendo de diferente maracas, por lo menos las gafas son de
Jacobs. Sabes así el estilo, el blin blin que no puede faltar de Alexis & Fido.

Bionica: Guys, you are a duo that has been able to maintain yourselves over time with a lot of effort and success. You have songs with many artists like Wisin & Yandel and in your album Down To Earth you had a collaboration with Don Omar and Toby Love. What can we expect in Perreologia?
Alexis & Fido: Well we have been part of the music industry for quite some time now, since the movement of reggaeton we have been writing and making this type of music. After the boom of reggaeton, we saw that this was something that we would be able to do professionally and that's when we began as a duo Alexis & Fido. We have had a lot of success and many of our songs have become hits reaching the Billboard top and we have also received nominations for the
Latin Grammys.
Our past album Down to Earth, really opened the door for us. We collaborated with Don Omar and Toby Love who is from here in NY. Toby Love is our little brother and always comes out in our albums.
Perreologia is an album in which we Alexis & Fido put in our hearts.
There is a lot of perreo (reggaeton) coming and a lot club music which is what's hot in our barrio–we went back to the essence of the barrio. Right now we are promoting Contestame el Teléfono featuring Flex. It's a commercial song, not as much perreo but it's danceable and has Latin rhythms
Bionica: Tell us a little bit about the release of Perreologia and how it came about.
Alexis & Fido: March 22 is the release date for Perreologia and we have many collaborations. We have Tony Dize, Daddy Yankee on Rescate, which is the track we chose to warm up what Perreologia is. There is Cosculluela, who is really hot right now and we have Eddia Avila, one of the pioneers of reggaeton as well as one of the more real out there. Eddie Avila doesn't come out on all albums and he is coming out on ours. We also have Nova & Yory, a new duo in Puerto Rico whom we think are rocking the charts in Puerto Rico in regards to what is underground (urban music). Franco el Gorila is also on the album which makes it quite varied, it has a lot of reggaeton and perreo, 90% of it is perreo.
Bionica: Tell me something, who writes the songs?
Alexis & Fido: Well, when it comes to writing the songs, I (Fido) usually have the concept and between Alexis and myself, we divide the work. Alexis writes his part, I go on with the concept and that's how we go.
Bionica: Who does your beats?
Alexis & Fido: For the beats, we choose depending on the style of the song and then pick who is going to produce. Fino Como el Haze, who works with Plan B took a big part in this album and did a really nice job. We also worked alongside
Mambo Kings and Nesty. A lot of people worked on this album.
Bionica: Tell me about the upcoming album release party.
Alexis & Fido: The album release party will be here in NY. We don't have all the details yet, but everything that has to do with the marketing for it is getting planned, we just turned it in. It comes out on March 22 which is the date that we have set out to promote and all.

Alexis & Fido: Today we are dressed in freestyle. Our stylist is a New Yorker, Milton Cruz. He also worked on our album cover as well as our videos. We are dressed in different brands, the shades are Marc Jacobs. You know the style, we also have our bling that is a must have for Alexis & Fido.
